Nathan Cole
Our grandson, Nathan Cole, was born on August 25th at 9:45 p.m. Unfortunately I didn't get right back on here to let you know. Matt called us around 2 am on the 26th to let us know. I had to work the next day and didn't think it would be fair for me to announce it on the blog before I left for work. That wouldn't have given Matt the chance to call and tell everyone the good news himself.
All are doing well. They were able to go home Friday night. Sonya's mom arrived in Colorado on Thursday morning, so they have a few extra hands to help them adjust to parenthood.
He is absolutely adorable and we can't wait to get our hands on him.
Congratulations Matt and Sonya!!
We went away for the weekend. The girls wanted to go to Cedar Point and ride the roller coasters. We headed out Thursday night after I got home from work. It was a beautiful day on Friday to spend at the park and the lines were fairly short, which was perfect for lots of roller coaster rides. Saturday we drove around the Lake Erie area then headed to South Bend, IN. We visited with Dennis and Carrie and were able to go to church with them this morning. After lunch and celebrating Nicole's birthday at the Paris Soda Shop in Niles, Michigan, we headed home.
So, Nicole Marie turned 24 today (Nathan didn't want to share his birthday with his daddy or his Auntie Nicole). It was a very quiet, laid back way to celebrate her birthday - not too sure it was a lot of fun for her though. A request has been made for cinnamon rolls, so I'll have to do that this week for her. We love you Nicole, and are so glad that God has blessed us with you as our daughter!!

What a precious bundle. If we were all together we would be fighting over who got to hold him. I can't wait. I am glad you don't have too long to wait, Grandma. Congratulations to you and Ed.
