I'm trying to talk myself into getting outside to mow the lawn. The sun is shining for the moment, but it's still pretty cool outside.



Several of you asked the color choices for the living room. After a few adjustments, I have the go ahead from Ed. The walls will be Meadow Pear. The trim, paneling and the fireplace will be Tiramisu and the ceiling will be Fresh Day. I can't find these paint samples online to show you, so you'll just have to wait to see it on the walls. (A picture of the selected paint chips just don't do them justice.) Can't wait until this room is lightened up!

Ed and I went window shopping on Friday afternoon for some updates for the living room. We had talked about replacing our wood burning fireplace with a gas insert. We needed to find out how much that would cost. We came to the conclusion that we didn't like the looks of the gas insert, so to be completely satisfied when we were all done, we would need to take out the old fireplace and replace it with a gas fireplace. While we would enjoy that, and probably use it more than the existing fireplace, it's not really in the budget right now. We also stopped at a carpet store, but the flooring options need additional research.

Ed and I are heading up to move Courtney's stuff home from college. She had her last final yesterday. All that is left are three days of review classes for her NCLEX exam. She has to move out all of her stuff except for bedding and a suitcase before Thursday, so today worked best for the moving crew. Very hard to believe that all of our kids will be college graduates in the next 2 weeks. We are very proud of them all!!!
