Trip to Colorado
After some shuffling of our work schedules, the four of us were able to head to Colorado to spend Christmas with Matt and Sonya. We purchased a different car a few weeks ago with this trip in mind, one that would be dependable and comfortable for all of us. Another perk with this car was the large trunk.
We couldn't believe all that we were able to pack in it - even a box full of snow pants and boots!
Along I-70, somewhere in Kansas, is this great rest area. They have a unique sink. You just stick your hands in and it dispenses the soap, then the water to wash off your hands and then the blow dryer to dry your hands all in one unit! All hands free and compact. Wouldn't that be nice to have in your personal bathroom?
While one is stopped at a rest area, they should take the time to stretch out and limber up, right?
Our trip out to Colorado was not the most fun. During the day it rained most of the time. Late at night through early in the morning, we battled very icy roads, then snow packed roads. We were so thankful to arrive safely around 4am Colorado time. Matt and Sonya very graciously woke up to let us in.
While Matt worked on Thursday, we hung out at home. Ed took a nap in front of the fire.
The fireplace didn't boast a "real" fire during the day, but we had a crackling fire on the TV. The video of the fire is actually a Kenny G Christmas CD that had several different scenes you could view while listening to the music. Very nice!
Sonya was off on Thursday, so we were able to spend the day with her running errands and getting some things done around the apartment. We were able to attend a Christmas eve service with them which was very thought provoking as well as including the traditional candlelight service and the singing of "Silent Night."

A picture of the trunk is not the full blown picture of the car that I had in my mind. Still waiting!!! Ha!!
What is the matter with Nicole's hand and face? It is all red. Maybe just a reflection huh?
Kenny G Christmas includes a fireplace on the TV???!! I need to get one of those!
It's an actual DVD from what I understand not just a CD. It had two or three different scenes and very relaxing Christmas music.
