What Does One Do With An Empty Room?

Photobucket It's so hard to take a full picture of our dining room. I wish cameras saw the way our eyes do, or at least that I had the lens that sees the way our eyes do. Anyway, we have had the idea to make our formal living room into our dining room. It has never been used as a formal living room and lately it has just been collecting furniture and junk to get rid of. Since I hosted Rosie's baby shower last week, the push was on to get that room cleaned out and get the dining room table in there. Our old dining room ended up looking like this... Photobucket So what does one do with an empty room? Photobucket Fill it up of course!! We have decided to make this room our "library." It seems so much smaller now that the table is out of it, but I think it's actually quite cozy. Our chest with all the games now resides in the library. Photobucket As well as two brand spankin new rocker recliners! Photobucket None of these pictures shows the actual color of the recliners well. They are a lighter brown color, not as dark as they show here. The thing Ed is most excited about is that one of them has heat and massage in the back of the chair. His back is bothering him right now, so he's anxious to get cleaned up tonight and "sit a spell" to try out the new function. They are very comfortable and we are anxious to have both of our grandsons here to read, rock and recline with!! Off to mow for a little bit, then take the Corvette out for a spin on this beautiful fall afternoon. Hopefully I will get caught up on pictures early next week. I have a lot to show you.

Are you trying to say Dad was more excited about his new recliner than the old brown one??? :) Very nice! I was just thinking about how wonderful they would be for babies. You could stay up all night with Drew while Rosie gets some rest!!!

Sweet!! Why didn't you have these last weekend? I can't wait to come back and read in your library. You have had another busy week it looks like. Loved being with you for a week dear daughter. Mom

Hey, those are nice! And heat and massage?! How wonderful! That really is a good place for your library with a little "country view" out the back and the sun shines right in there in the morning. Good work. Did you show Dad that rug from Pier 1?

Those chairs looks super fancy! And way comfy. Can't wait to try them out. They do look great for rocking kiddos.

P.S. I like Sonya's idea.
