Celebrating our 27th Anniversary

Ed and I celebrated our 27th Anniversary yesterday. To celebrate we went to a Bed & Breakfast in Kentucky, Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast Inn. It was such a quiet, relaxing place to visit. Their pictures are much better than mine so check out their website.

We stayed in the second floor of this cabin. They took this old log cabin apart and moved it to their property to reassemble and update. It was really interesting to look at the pictures of their restoration of the home and log cabin.
Doesn't this porch look inviting? I would love to visit there again in warmer weather. I think the landscaping would be beautiful in the spring and summer with flowers blooming. There is a nice deck off of the main house as well that would be a nice spot to sit and relax.
These are the stairs that led up to our room. The door on the left connects with the room on the main floor in case you had come together with another couple. The main floor suite has a room in the basement with several couches and a big screen TV.

This is the "landing" area at the top of the steps. A nice little nook to drop your purse, coat and shoes.

The bedroom has a table and chairs and wireless internet access.
The very comfortable bed with a cozy down comforter.
A comfortable couch and armoire. They had fluffy robes hanging in the armoire for your use. Love all the windows too.

The bathroom was an L shape, separated into little areas. Here is the sink area - they even had a lighted magnifying mirror! Better for us old people to see with.
Here is the whirlpool tub and steam shower. I started getting a cold the morning we left, so soaking in the warm whirlpool at night and turning the steam way up in the shower in the morning was wonderful! I think it helped clear out my head a little. The glass wall on the right is the shower area and behind the shower is the toilet.

If you are planning to be in the area, I would highly recommend this B&B. The french toast stuffed with orange marmalade for breakfast was wonderful! It is just across the river from Cincinnati. If you are planning a trip to the Creation Museum, this would be very close by. We had dinner one night at a restaurant just down the street from the B&B that was very good. There are some nice walking/biking trails close by as well.
We are home and back to reality. No warm soak in the whirlpool for me tonight. But we stopped and picked up some apples today and made apple crisp when we got home - Ed cut the apples up. It was delicious!

Looks like a lot of fun, but where are the pictures of the Anniversary couple?

That's right! Where are the pics of you guys gazing into each other's eyes? Matt could teach you a thing or two with his mad posing skills! Glad you guys had fun! Can't to talk to you more about it. Love you both, Rosie
